Chopper Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A helicopter hovering over a popular southern California beach unexpectedly started spinning wildly, eventually descending rapidly and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers watched.
Footage shared on the internet capture the helicopter commencing to spiral above the beach then plunging near the border of the beach, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters stated five people were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the road were injured. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
